Koori Mail recognises Adam’s Filmmaking journey.

Speaking with Koori Mail journalist, Adam Jenkins discusses his rise from no budget short films to South Australian Film Corporation funding. The later funding opportunity provided Adam the opportunity to make his short horror film - The Getaway, which premiered at the 2023 Adelaide Film Festival & Sydney SXSW Film Festival. In 2024, Adam entered his film into the South Australian Screen Awards where the film was nominated for 3 awards: Best First Nations Film, Best Cinematographer and Best Sound Design. The Getaway won for Best First Nations Film validating all of Adam and his team’s hard work in getting the film made.
